Teaching media literacy to secondary and university students has become an essential part of 21st century education. Clarify.Media offers one hour, 90 minute, half and full and multiple day professional development lectures and training sessions for educators, both in person and virtually. In these sessions educators will learn about what misinformation is, what forms it takes and how they can teach their students to spot it. They will also learn about tools and techniques they can use in their classrooms to help students verify information they find online and in social media. For half and day long sessions teachers will have a chance to use these tools themselves and collaborate with each other to explore how they can integrate them into their classrooms.
Clarify.Media staff can come to your school in person or virtually to help your students learn about why misinformation is so dangerous and what they can to to fact check and verify the flood of information they come across everyday on social media. Lectures range from 45 to 90 minutes in length and will provide students with tangible tools they can start using right away. We can tailor our lectures for students of different ages studying a range of subject matter.

Sessions range from one to three hours and cover topics including misinformation, viral rumors, detecting bots and advanced verification techniques.
